We maintain intimate settings with limited seating, typically ranging from 20 to 40 people. This ensures an authentic baithak experience where everyone can connect closely with the artist and the music.
Our baithaks are held at various intimate venues across Bangalore. The exact venue address is shared in your booking confirmation email, typically 2-3 days before the event. This helps us maintain the personal and exclusive nature of our gatherings.
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the scheduled start time. This allows you to settle in, enjoy some refreshments, and soak in the ambiance before the performance begins. Latecomers may have to wait for an appropriate break before entering to avoid disturbing the performance.
Most baithak sessions last between 2 to 3 hours, including intervals. The duration may vary depending on the artist and the format of the performance. We recommend keeping your evening free to fully immerse yourself in the experience.
A baithak is a traditional, intimate gathering where musicians perform in close proximity to the audience. Unlike formal concerts in large auditoriums, baithaks foster a personal connection between the artist and listeners. Guests typically sit on the floor in a cozy setting, creating an atmosphere where music becomes a shared, immersive experience.
We recommend comfortable, modest attire suitable for sitting on the floor. Traditional Indian wear is welcome but not mandatory. Avoid formal shoes as you'll need to remove them before entering the performance area. Think comfortable and respectful.
Yes! We provide curated refreshments including tea, coffee, and light snacks. When booking, you can specify your food preferences (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, vegan, or no food). We strive to accommodate special dietary requirements – just mention them in the special requests section of the booking form.
Children who can sit quietly and appreciate classical music for extended periods are welcome. However, given the intimate nature and duration of our performances, we recommend bringing children aged 10 and above who have an interest in music. Please book a separate ticket for each child attending.
Photography and recording policies vary by event and artist preference. We'll inform you of specific guidelines in the booking confirmation email. Generally, we encourage you to be fully present in the moment rather than behind a camera or phone screen.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of their knowledge of classical music! Our baithaks are perfect for both seasoned connoisseurs and curious newcomers. The intimate setting allows you to experience the music in a way that's accessible and moving. We often provide brief introductions to help everyone appreciate the performance better.
